The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) assists incoming and current international students and scholars, and their families, to make smooth transitions at UNLV.
Housing services
Housing and Residential Life facilitates a comfortable residential community through which accommodations, activities, and experiences encourage students to progress toward becoming self-directed individuals.
UNLV is proud to offer campus housing for our students. It is cost effective and lets you live on a floor with students of similar interests, be close to campus resources, and learn in a safe and supportive environment.
Library services
UNLV Libraries participate in the articulation and assessment of student learning; provide direct instruction to students; partner with classroom faculty on course and assignment design; and intentionally create co-curricular learning experiences.
ICT services
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is the central unit responsible for supporting the academic, research, and administrative aims of the campus through the effective use of technology.
Medical services
The Student Health Center offers fast and convenient access to medical care for UNLV students.The Student Health Center offers the following services to students: treatment of various illnesses and injuries, male and female wellness exams including pap smears and contraception evaluations, physical exams for academic programs and sports participation clearance and immediate first aid.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities indicates that it meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality evaluated through a peer review process. An accredited college or university is one which has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Institutional integrity is also addressed through accreditation.
