To reward those who have given back to their community, they are opening the Helping Hand Scholarship, an opportunity given to one student per semester.

Benefits

Helping Hand Scholarship offers $1,000 to one student per semester. The funds included in this award can be used for a variety of college expenses, including tuition, educational materials, and more.

Eligibility

Please review all of our scholarship criteria before you send in your application:

  • You must have an established record of public service within the last three years.
  • You must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher.
  • You must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university within the United States.
  • You must be at least 17 years old.
  • You must be a citizen of the United States.

To be considered for the Helping Hand Scholarship, please submit an essay response to the following question in approximately 500 words:

How has your experience helping others shaped your goals for the future?

Additionally, applicants must attach proof of enrollment at an accredited college or university, documentation of their achieved grade point average, and evidence of volunteering (a recommendation letter). Acceptable formats include .docx and .pdf.
