Description
The State Studies Foundation is a state budgetary institution, which administers financial support for students. The Foundation started its activities in 1993 when the Government of the Republic of Lithuania established the Lithuanian State Science and Studies Foundation, whose primary function was to administer support for the projects of groups of scientists.

Eligibility
- Lithuanian government funding is available for all levels of study
- Funding is available for students who are enrolled in institutions ranked in the top 50 in at least one of three world rankings: Times Higher Education World University Rankings, QS World University Rankings, Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU).
- Students receiving this funding must return to Lithuania within three months of completing their program and commit to work for at least 3 years in the country or for a Lithuanian diplomatic mission or international organization in their major field of study.
