The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program provides a variety of grants to undergraduate students at the University of St. Thomas. Several of these grants are designed to provide students with funding that will allow them to focus on a semester- or summer-long research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Other grants are designed to reimburse students for travel expenses related to carrying out or presenting faculty-mentored research. Students in any major at any stage in their studies are eligible to apply for the grants available through UROP.

Career Development Center - Helping our students on their career pathway is a priority for St. Thomas. Individualized career counseling can start in your first year. We connect students with alumni and professionals that can lead to mentoring. We bring employers to campus. And we prepare graduates to interview with skills and materials to make them successful.

Student Life

Campus life

At St. Thomas, students have the opportunity to live and learn on three campuses: St. Paul, Minneapolis and Rome (Bernardi). Our two main campuses are located in the heart of the Twin Cities.

Each campus has a different vibe, but overall, as a Tommie you get the classic college campus experience with the comfort of it being in a small neighborhood. Take our main campus located in St. Paul. It's nestled between the Merriam Park and Macalester Groveland neighborhoods, both of which are known for being safe, active and also not too far from two large cities. St. Thomas' main campus lies on Summit Avenue, the longest avenue of Victorian homes in the country.

I loved the classroom sizes and the interactions between students and professors as well as the various outlets offering help on Campus for various disciplines. could improve by having more real life hands on courses that nagger students with the real world besides study abroad. I would rate my overall experience as excellent.
