The history of higher education in Pécs dates back to 1367, when Louis the Great initiated the establishment of a university in the episcopal city of Pécs. As a result of an integration process of several stages, the University of Pécs was founded, which has become one of the most famous, prestigious institutions having a leading role in regional education.
We currently offer 31 Bachelor's and 29 Master's, 8 One-tier Master's and 15 Doctoral programs in the fields of Business & Economics, Natural Sciences, Medical & Health Sciences, Human & Social Sciences, Arts and Engineering. We also offer various postgraduate trainings and preparatory courses for international students.

The Faculties of the University as well as the city centre are easily accessible from the dormitories. Most of the dormitories have recently been renovated. The rooms are nicely furnished and contain bathrooms. Bedclothes are supplied. Rooms are offered on a reasonable price level: approximately EUR 130 per month.
Students and staff of the University can use the majority of library services free of charge after subscribing to any of the faculty libraries or the Central Library. As ours is a public library, our subscribers include people from the city and the region, students from various Hungarian universities and many other people.
The UP Clinical Centre is one of the largest health care providers in Hungary. With its 29 health care units, nearly 3 000 staff members the centre have provided health care for several decades in Pécs and in the surrounding region. The Centre also plays an active role in the practical education of medical students and health care professionals.

In order to ensure high international standards, strict quality control measures are applied. The Hungarian Accreditation Committee (HAC) conducts continuous institutional and program accreditation procedures and monitors the quality of educational activity for compliance with the European Standards and Guidelines. Hungarian higher education institutions and courses are accredited by HAC.
This university is one of the best university in Europe. Although the main draw back which I face is like they will teach you most softwares related to architecture while only few such software's related to the fem.
Minus the fact the courses are a bit much , everything is good. We have understanding teachers and they make life so much easier for us.
I was not the luckiest to experience the University of Pécs during COVID-19. Yet, I can imagine how breathtaking the coming semester will be. Amazing place to achieve goals!
