Los Angeles was a rough-and-tumble frontier town in the early 1870s, when a group of public-spirited citizens led by Judge Robert Maclay Widney first dreamed of establishing a university in the region. It took nearly a decade for this vision to become a reality, but in 1879 Widney formed a board of trustees and secured a donation of 308 lots of land from three prominent members of the community.

Student Reviews

Highly Recommend USC!
Anonymous rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love that it's very practice-based. Most students do multiple internships and put what they learned in the classrooms to use. The BCA program specifically can be improved by focusing less on lectures (that are very similar throughout the four years).

The level of expertise and expectation opened my eyes to new possibilities for myself I had not previously thought of.

My study experience was great. The teachers were very helpful and informative, and the classes, for the most part, were very enjoyable. However, the degree I received, I feel I cannot do much with it outside of it's own field. It's been difficult to find a job.
