Applied Behavior Analysis, M.Sc.

  • The mission of the program is that all graduating students become scientist-practitioners who are leaders in the provision of services that improve the quality of life of individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, as well as other populations benefiting from ABA services. The program is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board™ (BACB™), and includes 270 instructional hours of coursework in ABA, and 1500 hours of supervised field work.
  • After graduating from the program, students will have completed all of the coursework and fieldwork requirements to sit for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst™  (BCBA™) certification exam. A unique component of the program is the provision of two courses in developmental psychology that provide students with an up-to-date survey of theory and research in cognitive, social and emotional development of children and adolescents. Additional elective coursework focuses on child language acquisition, psychopathology, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Programme Structure

The Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis program consists of a state-of-the-art curriculum, which is approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board®. The program coursework is based on a foundation of the classic research and readings in applied behavior analysis (ABA), but incorporates the latest in research, so that students receive the most up-to-date training available anywhere. In addition to didactic coursework, students take practicum courses that provide real-life experience and training. Practicum assignments build critical competencies that students will immediately put to use in real-life work experiences. Students simultaneously learn from real-life examples of content learned in class, while also learning the job skills needed to succeed as a professional clinician.*
