As an international employee, International Staff Office is your partner. We can help you before arrival, during your stay and if you want to leave the university again. If you have any questions regarding your stay in Denmark, please do not hesitate to contact or visit us.

International Staff Office is responsible for applying for residence and work permits for international employees and PhD students.

Housing services

There are many practical matters related to accommodation, such as signing a lease, location, rent, deposit, furniture, conditions for reimbursement of deposit, etc.

Your administrative contact person at the department at Aalborg University will try to help you with matters regarding accommodation for you and, if you bring spouse and children, your family.

In order to find the best possible accommodation for you, Aalborg University has a specialized office to help our administrative staff at the departments in matters regarding accommodation. But, due to housing shortage the Accommodation Office unfortunately must reject lots of requests for accommodation.

Library services

Aalborg University Library's principal task is to support research and teaching at Aalborg University by providing relevant information and documentation. Aalborg University has over 3.000 employees and 18.500 students.

All branches are open to the public, and all permanent residents in Denmark canobtain a library card. You can borrow, pick up and request books and journals at all branches.

Medical services

Denmark has a comprehensive public health service, including doctors, medical specialists, hospitals, health service, home care, health visitor services and paediatric dental care.

Most health insurance services and hospitalizations are free of charge, financed by the Danish welfare system.

The Danish health service is based on the principle of equal access to the health services for all citizens.

Great learning experience because of differently applied teaching methods. More group work, less learning by heart but greater application of knowledge in discussions or workshops. Outstanding intercultural experience with a remarkable diversity of ethnicities and cultures in class.

My study experience in Lead City University was exciting, challenging, and high contributive to my future. Academically and socially, I couldn't have asked for a better place to study. Whilst the institution is highly known for its student predisposition to wild night life, I also found that the institution also encourages serious academic work.
