Overview
About the programme
Why choose Electronic Systems?
You should choose Electronic Systems if you are interested in how electronic circuits are designed and integrated with intelligent systems, wish to learn about algorithms for signal processing – and are curious about modelling and optimising complex systems.
The programme consists of three core technological areas: Machine learning and signal processing, control and automation, and communication technology – including radio systems. You will also gain skills in real-time system design, stochastic systems and signals, mathematical modelling, distributed systems, communication and intelligent signal processing.
Educational content
While pursuing your degree, your schedule will alternate between lectures and project work in groups where you and your fellow students will develop IT solutions for concrete problems, such as ultra-reliable wireless communication, process control with AI, embedded systems, Internet of Things and smart electronics. Along the way, you will receive feedback and support from dedicated professors who are experts in their fields and in on the latest research and technology. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with companies.
Your skills as a graduate
The Master’s gives you a strong foundation in Electronic Systems and provides you with the necessary tools to develop the intelligent systems of the future. This positions you for a career in fields such as wireless and mobile communication, signal processing and artificial intelligence, control and autonomous (robotic) systems, consumer electronics systems or technology consulting.
Job opportunities
The programme qualifies you for a wide range of jobs at large technology-driven companies – both Danish and international. Graduates typically work with development, innovation and consultancy tasks.
The Master’s gives you strong theoretical and practical skills, which makes you sought-after in a number of industries – from wireless and mobile communications to signal processing, artificial intelligence, control engineering and autonomous systems. You will have the skills to work with advanced technologies that drive developments within everything from consumer electronics to robotics. You can also work as a Development Engineer, Systems Engineer or RF Engineer.
Some graduates choose to stay at university to pursue a three-year research programme (PhD).
