About the programme
Why choose Culture, Communication and Globalization?
If you are interested in culture, communication and international relations in the context of current global issues or want to understand and navigate global complexities, you should choose Culture, Communication and Globalization. The Master's focuses on the interplay between culture and communication in a globalised world. In addition, you will become part of an exciting and engaging multicultural study environment where you will encounter students from all over the world.
Educational content
All classes at Culture, Communication and Globalization are conducted in English. You will have a varied schedule, switching between preparation, project writing and lectures, workshops and group work, where your professors will take you through the programme's central subject areas, theories and methods. You have the opportunity to tailor your studies to reflect your dreams and interests when choosing your educational profile. You will be able to choose from: Consumption and Market Communication, Organisation and Leadership or International Politics, Migration and Movements. At the end of the programme, you can choose a specialisation: Arctic Studies, Global Gender Studies or Chinese Area Studies, or follow various electives covering current issues.
Your skills as a graduate
Graduates of Culture, Communication and Globalization have a strong international profile. With this Master’s, you will be able to carry out intercultural communication and analysis tasks, among other things. You will have in-depth knowledge of collaboration and communication across cultures and national borders, and you will be able to analyse and evaluate development trends in the global society. Having completed an English-language Master’s also makes you desirable on the international job market.

General requirements
Admission to a Master’s programme – whether it is taught in English or Danish – requires:
- Successful completion of a relevant and recognised university Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Danish Bachelor’s degree in level and length (180 ECTS).
- Successful fulfilment of specific admission requirements related to the relevant Master's degree programme.
- Successful fulfilment of language requirements, i.e. an AAU approved English test for Master’s programmes taught in English, and a Danish proficiency test (Studieprøven i Dansk) in case a programme is taught in Danish.Before a certain deadline you must meet these requirements.
