Overview

The International Business study programme at Aalborg University Business School (AAUBS) focuses on the internationalisation of companies. Among other things, you get knowledge of challenges in developing an international business strategy and managing international business activities and functions.

The specialisation is characterized by a close interplay between theory and practice and an application-oriented approach. This means that you will work with cases and projects related to specific issues in companies.

The programme is in English, and all teaching is therefore delivered in English.

Upon graduation, you will have:

a deep and broad interdisciplinary understanding of international business issues, including the complexities of international organisations and management, as well as the economic, political, social, and cultural aspects of international business management
the skills needed to analyse and assess a company's opportunities in the global market
competencies to develop strategies, plans and actions based on the global opportunities of the company in question and ensure that the company carries out its activities efficiently

When graduated, you get a master's degree in Economics and Business Administration with a specialisation in International Business.

General requirements

Admission to a Master’s programme – whether it is taught in English or Danish – requires:

Successful completion of a relevant and recognised university Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Danish Bachelor’s degree in level and length (180 ECTS).
Successful fulfilment of specific admission requirements related to the relevant Master's degree programme.
Successful fulfilment of language requirements, i.e. an AAU approved English test for Master’s programmes taught in English, and a Danish proficiency test (Studieprøven i Dansk) in case a programme is taught in Danish.Before a certain deadline you must meet these requirements.
