Overview

During the Industrial Design programme of Aalborg University you will meet a wide range of teachers who will present you with new knowledge in key areas. The programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore the educational programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the semester.

From Idea to Market

With a Master's degree in Industrial Design you will gain an understanding of product design and business perspectives. You will be capable of combining solutions and products that are innovative as well as functional.

Job and career

Industrial Design combines such skills as creativity, engineering and team work. This combination gives the student the opportunity to influence in which direction he/she wish to head.

Furthermore the education has a close connection and collaboration with companies, institutions etc., which among other things gives the student the opportunity to collaborate with and create close connections to these companies, institutions, etc. This is beneficial for the project work as well as for future carrier opportunities.

General requirements

Admission to a Master’s programme – whether it is taught in English or Danish – requires:

Successful completion of a relevant and recognised university Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Danish Bachelor’s degree in level and length (180 ECTS).
Successful fulfilment of specific admission requirements related to the relevant Master's degree programme.
Successful fulfilment of language requirements, i.e. an AAU approved English test for Master’s programmes taught in English, and a Danish proficiency test (Studieprøven i Dansk) in case a programme is taught in Danish.Before a certain deadline you must meet these requirements.
