The Office of Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities (ORSCA), a unit in the Division of Academic Affairs, provides research development support services to the university community. ORSCA helps Principal Investigators identify external funding opportunities, and provides assistance at every stage of proposal development.
To ensure the highest conformity with University and Federal policies, ORSCA provides support and guidance for compliance issues related to the use of human subjects and animal subjects in research, conflicts of interest, and research misconduct.

The resources and centers that make up the Office of the Division of Student Life are varied and designed to provide essential services and programs, many of which are vital for student success at Cal State LA. Our departments include the Center for Student Involvement, Office for Students with Disabilities, Student Health Center, and the Veterans Resource Center.
Cal State LA offers apartment-style residential communities that are within walking distance to classrooms, sports facilities and the library.
Gender Inclusive Housing is for students interested in living with people of all gender identities and expressions. The Cal State LA Housing and Residence Life community defines Gender Inclusive Housing as an environment where students may choose to share a room with any other student regardless of sex, biological gender, gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation.

Information Technology Services strives to provide all students, faculty, and staff with anywhere, anytime electronic access to information resources in support of the teaching/learning mission of the University.
The Student Health Center provides high-quality, affordable health care and health education for the students of Cal State LA to preserve and enhance their potential for academic success and personal development. It also seeks to serve as the primary health resource for the University and health advocate for the campus community.
Campus facilities are maintained to ensure public safety. Many events held on campus are open to the public, including those at the bookstore, library, and food court. Access to academic and administrative facilities on campus is generally limited to students, employees, and visitors for the purpose of study, work, teaching, and other University business.
Cal State LA, College of ECST has an array of opportunities for students to get involved, explore new interests, and have fun. Joining a student club or organization is a great way to develop as leaders and make a positive impact in the community and beyond.
Cal State LA is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Cal State LA received its last reaffirmation of accreditation in March of 2011. Cal State LA is currently preparing for the next reaffirmation of accreditation review scheduled for 2019.
It was distracting and the population was large which brought too much noise in class always, some lecturers spend less time teaching students
