A Great Place to Learn with Room to Grow
As a Computer Science student at the University of Alberta, my experience has been mostly positive. The program is challenging but well-structured, and many of the professors are passionate and knowledgeableespecially in upper-year courses. What stood out to me the most was how much support is available if youre willing to seek it out, whether its through office hours, TA sessions, or peer groups. Campus life is lively, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved through clubs and events, although it can feel overwhelming at first. One thing I would mention is that first-year class sizes can be large, which sometimes makes it hard to get one-on-one attention. That said, the university does offer resources like tutoring and academic advising to help you stay on track. Overall, the U of A offers a solid education and a supportive environmentyou just need to take the initiative to make the most of it.
Good
At first it started off stressful but I conquered

North Campus has 150 buildings covering 50 city blocks nestled on the edge of the North Saskatchewan River. Campus Saint-Jean is a French-language campus, a one-of-a kind gem in the heart of Edmonton’s francophone community. Augustana is a historic campus in a vibrant rural community with an intimate residential learning environment. South Campus contains extensive land for agricultural research and is home to several recreational facilities. Enterprise Square forms a hub in Edmonton’s downtown for learners at all stages of life and for entrepreneurs creating businesses out of new research.
