The UCL East London Scholarship supports eligible East London residents from low-income households undertaking selected postgraduate taught programmes at UCL East or the UCL School of Management.

Description

The scholarship is available for full-time, part-time and modular-flexible master’s study. Applicants must have a connection to Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets or Waltham Forest through residence or previous education.

Benefits

The scholarship covers full Home tuition fees and provides £17,096 maintenance per year.

Eligibility

Students must meet all of the below criteria with no exceptions:

  • be ordinarily resident in the UK or Ireland and eligible to pay Home fee rate, AND
  • have submitted a complete admission application (including submission of references) for a full-time, part-time, or modular/flexible Master's degree at UCL for one of the specified programmes – eligible programme list, AND
  • have an annual household income of £42,875 or less, AND

been a permanent resident for the last five years, or have completed GCSE, A-levels, or BTEC (Level 2 or 3), in the following east London boroughs:

  • Hackney
  • Newham
  • Tower Hamlets
  • Waltham Forest
