The results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework demonstrated the world-leading quality of our research – every unit of assessment we submitted was rated as at least 45% internationally excellent or better.
LJMU ranks in the top half of the overall research league table, placed 61st, out of 128 universities which submitted more than one unit of assessment, in the proportion of research that is world-leading or internationally excellent and we are second in the University Alliance group

LJMU students are entitled to free off-peak access to Lifestyles Fitness Centres across Merseyside*, with membership covering a host of activities and facilities.
*The University has secured a contract with Liverpool City Council’s Lifestyles Fitness Centres until August 2021.
From sports teams to societies, there are over 100 student groups to choose from, run by Liverpool John Moores University Students’ Union (JMSU). Joining a student group helps students to branch out, meet new people and get the most out of their time at the University.
Syllabus covered relevant material that is need at workplace. Teaching stuff is helpful all along the way, they respond to emails within a day. The university offers support beyond academic field e.g.: career advice
I completed my BSc at LJMU through institute in Sri Lanka called International College of Business and Technology. Both parties gave their full support and lectures, practical's conducted very well. Lectures of last 2 modules conducted through online due to Covid pandemic situation and we had some difficulties but still we were managed to overcome and completed the Degree
I was even an offer to study as a distance learning student and will start March 2021
