History

Clark University is an American private university and liberal arts college in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded in 1887, it is the oldest educational institution founded as an all-graduate university in the United States. Clark now also educates undergraduates. The U.S. News & World Report ranked Clark 75th nationally in both 2015 and 2014, 83rd in 2013, and 95th in 2012.

Services

Student services

Information Technology Services has a Help Desk web site for help requests via Help Desk ticketing system.

The ITS Help Desk utilizes, a web based, request service that members of the Clark community can access and track with their Clark Account. At any time of the day, as long as they have Internet access, faculty, staff, and students can check on the status of current requests, previously resolved requests, and can open new requests.

Housing services

There are more than 1,750 graduate and undergraduate students who reside in the University's nine residence halls and fourteen houses, including three graduate student houses.

The goal of the Residential Life and Housing (RLH) Office is to provide a living environment that allows for academic pursuits, interpersonal interactions, educational opportunities and social events. The environment created is intended to encourage freedom of action and self-expression within the context of community responsibility.

Library services

The Clark libraries provide extensive resources for student and faculty research and learning across all disciplines. They provide:

ICT services

Wireless network access allows people with laptop computers to access the Internet and the usual network resources such as email and fileshares without a wired physical connection to a network jack or phone line. Students must be physically located where there is ClarkWiFi coverage.

Medical services

Clark University EMS is a student run organization comprised of both EMTs and First Responders. It provides rapid medical care for the entire university community 24hours a day, 7 days a week, when classes are in session.

Campus life

Visitors driving to Clark will find several convenient areas to park while on campus. Parking permits are available from both the Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions offices.

Sports facilities

The Clark University Department of Athletics and Recreation is committed to establishing an environment that fosters student development and leadership by providing opportunities for participation in the arenas of athletics, wellness, and recreation.

It has Athletic Center, Fitness Center, Center Pool, Soccer Field, Tennis Court, Baseball Diamond, Softball Field.

Student clubs

ISA promotes better relations among students of different cultures through a variety of intellectual, informative and entertaining events encouraging cross-cultural communication.
