The Vanport Extension Center opened its doors the summer of 1946 to 220 students, offering the first two years of college study.The institution survived a devastating flood in 1948 and was moved three times, ultimately residing at its current location in downtown Portland, Oregon, on the iconic South Park Blocks in 1952.Â

I have enjoyed many of the progressive initiatives which I have been a part of during my time at Portland State University. The professors are fantastic for the most part, and it is very inclusive. However, it is very expensive to attend and online course fees were maintained despite the COVID-19 pandemic, which has put a financial strain on students such as myself.
I have studied 7 courses in the geotechnical branch, which contained laboratory experience and theoretical experiences, it was about ground improvement, ground water engineering, soil behavior and advanced soil mechanic
I was apart of the online Social Work program as the days, times, and internship did not allow me to work. Overall I had a good experience with the program, and the professors.
