Eindhoven University of Technology is a young university, founded in 1956 by industry, local government and academia. Today, their spirit of collaboration is still at the heart of our university community. We foster an open culture where everyone feels free to exchange ideas and take initiatives.
A university can only take on the challenge of educating the next generation of excellent engineers if it has excellent research and education capacity. TU/e excels at both, with numerous successful international research collaborations and educational innovation that puts you at the helm of your own career.
In Bachelor College and Graduate School, students get more freedom to chart their own course than anywhere else. The best way to hone your creativity and to prepare for a career with societal impact is to seek out those subjects that ignite your interest. Of course, a solid scientific basis is not the only thing you can expect from a university education.
TU/e is leading in the international research arena in the field of engineering science and technology. Our close collaboration with industry and healthcare institutes allows us to translate our research findings into products and services that help solve major societal problems, for instance in the areas of health, energy and mobility.
Their first position for scientific output in collaboration with industry underscores the unique, close research & development relationship between TU/e and the high-tech companies in the surrounding Brainport area and the rest of the Netherlands.
TU/e aims to be a welcoming, inspiring and challenging home for you as a student. But your relationship with TU/e does not end when you graduate. We want to be there for you throughout your career.
Your Bachelor of Science or Master of Science diploma is, of course, a great foundation for a thriving career in industry. Studies show that companies and governments appreciate the skills and knowledge of TU/e graduates.
Eindhoven University of Technology is a challenging employer and provides space for talent. If someone is ambitious and performs well, they are given all the space and facilities to shape an interesting career. This includes opportunities to develop themselves.
Apart from the university, around 100 companies and organisations are accommodated on the campus, from large research institutes to smaller start-ups.The TU/e campus wants to be a place where these parties connect and therefore offers various accommodation possibilities.
In the TU/e Library you will find an extensive and up-to-date collection of scientific information.
Via the Internet, the Library provides access to a wealth of digital information. At the central library a collection of printed information resources (mainly books and journals) is at your disposal. The Library acquires literature on almost all branches of science and technology.

Students and staff can log in to the network all over using their TU/e account.Visitors working at universities or research institutes can use the eduroam service though the home institution must also support the eduroam service of SURFnet.
The green campus is becoming an attractive hotspot for students, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors and high-tech companies with state-of-the-art offline and online facilities. The campus is a terrain in development, but it is already a lively, green place in the city center of Eindhoven.
The TU/e Campus is not only a place of study and work, but also a home. Since the opening of the Aurora and Luna apartment blocks, hundreds of students and staff of different nationalities are resident here, turning our green campus in the heart of Eindhoven a lively and very dynamic place. A movie theater with a grand café/restaurant, a sports center and two supermarkets all contribute to a pleasant place to live and stay.
Sport is central in Eindhoven and at the university. The Student Sport Center Eindhoven(SSC) is the most extensive of all Dutch universities, offering all students and staff of TU/e, Fontys Hogescholen Eindhoven and Design Academy Eindhoven sport (70 sports), recreation, health and relaxation. Our sport cards, allowing you to participate in all sports and courses, are available at low rates.
At TU/e we have many flourishing communities of staff and students from the Netherlands and abroad. We value our open, healthy, informal and caring community in which we create an atmosphere that enables us to do our best. We encourage everyone, students and staff, to play an active part and be actively involved in this TU/e community, because we believe that when we are personal, passionate, curious and connected, our community is the place where innovation truly starts. Since I entered the university, I have not only made great efforts in my study with the average score of 85.7 and CGPA 3.54/4.0, but also participated in various academic and extracurricular activities to improve my ability and gain more experience. Participating in a green building studio in my freshman year opened my eyes to the emergence of new building technologies...
The theory is very less. The teachers just tell you the superficial thing about something and that's it. I was expecting more. Not like Italy, but more than it is.
I just started my Master's here in TU/e. A month's journey didn't tell me much, but as far as the first quarter concerned, I loved the subjects and professors are phenomenal in their respective fields. They are easily approachable. The study structure is very good. The flexibility in choosing subjects from cross discipline as electives to broaden your scope is very...
