Eindhoven University of Technology is a young university, founded in 1956 by industry, local government and academia. Today, their spirit of collaboration is still at the heart of our university community. We foster an open culture where everyone feels free to exchange ideas and take initiatives.
For engineering and technology studies, students in the Netherlands are best off in Eindhoven. This is evident from the Elsevier publication of Best Studies 2018. In addition, it appears that students in Eindhoven are particularly enthusiastic about their study at TU/e.
TU/e is leading in the international research arena in the field of engineering science and technology. Our close collaboration with industry and healthcare institutes allows us to translate our research findings into products and services that help solve major societal problems, for instance in the areas of health, energy and mobility.
Their first position for scientific output in collaboration with industry underscores the unique, close research & development relationship between TU/e and the high-tech companies in the surrounding Brainport area and the rest of the Netherlands.
TU/e aims to be a welcoming, inspiring and challenging home for you as a student. But your relationship with TU/e does not end when you graduate. We want to be there for you throughout your career.
Your Bachelor of Science or Master of Science diploma is, of course, a great foundation for a thriving career in industry. Studies show that companies and governments appreciate the skills and knowledge of TU/e graduates.
But perhaps you want to study some more before you set out on the labor market. Or perhaps you want to invest in ongoing education, even after your career has started to take off.
This information is based on LinkedIn alumni data for graduates from 2018 to 2024 and may not fully represent all career outcomes

My time at Eindhoven University of Technology has been absolutely brilliant! The lecturers really know their stuff and are always ready to help you out. The campus is stunning and theres always something happening; events, clubs, you name it. Everyone is so friendly, and Ive made some proper good friends here. The courses are well put together, the teaching is engaging because the lecturers genuinely love what they do, and support is never far away. Honestly, its been fantastic and Id recommend to anyone looking for a great uni experience.
My experience at Eindhoven University of Technology has been fantastic so far! The academic environment's supportive, and the lecturers are really dedicated. I've appreciated the focus on personal development and the close-knit community, which makes learning more engaging. The small class sizes have allowed me to build strong connections with my teachers and fellow students. I'm grateful for the education and connections I've gained, which will provide a solid foundation for my future.
Studying Biomedical Engineering at FUTO has been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. The university offers a good enough balance of theory and practical learning whilst preparing students to think critically. One of the things I love most is the competitive yet community-driven spirit from academics to student politics. The open drive and hunger for school politics and leadership opportunities. Serving as the Public Relations Officer and later the President of my department gave me a platform to develop skills far beyond academics. Of course, there are areas to improve, like the speed of administrative processes and access to better equipped laboratories, but overall, FUTO is a great place for students who want to learn, grow, and be well grounded not just academically. Id definitely recommend it to anyone passionate about Technology, Leadership, Growth, Connections and Politics.

Since the opening of the Aurora and Luna apartment blocks, hundreds of students and staff of different nationalities are resident here, turning our green campus in the heart of Eindhoven a lively and very dynamic place. A movie theater with a grand café/restaurant, a sports center and two supermarkets all contribute to a pleasant place to live and stay.
Sport is central in Eindhoven and at the university. The Student Sport Center Eindhoven(SSC) is the most extensive of all Dutch universities, offering all students and staff of TU/e, Fontys Hogescholen Eindhoven and Design Academy Eindhoven sport (70 sports), recreation, health and relaxation.
