Founded on August 6, 1868 as the “Scuola Superiore di Commercio” (Advanced School for Commerce), Ca' Foscari was the first Italian institution to deal with advanced education in Business and Economics. The original main office is still found in the grand gothic palace “volta de canal” (on the bend of the Grand Canal), in the heart of Venice.
Ca’ Foscari is ranked third in Italy for the excellence of its research, and it has earned so many of the coveted European Commission Marie Curie research fellowships that it is one of Europe’s ten most successful universities in this regard. Innovation, investing in talent, support to researchers and the development of international collaborations; these are just some of the activities that make Ca’ Foscari’s more competitive in the global arena and influential in information sharing.
Ca’ Foscari offers targeted services to support, guide and orient you through the world of work, giving you the opportunity to make direct contact with international companies, develop your skills through specific workshops on self-entrepreneurship and transversal skills.
