Overview
The Environmental Humanities are an ever-more important area of research that establishes a fruitful dialogue between the natural sciences, the social sciences, and all areas of the humanities.
This degree programme, the first of its kind in Italy, promotes dialogue among the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities in all their forms. Its aim is to train a new generation of professionals and leaders in culture, academia, and education, equipping them with the skills to envision, narrate, and educate towards a more sustainable future for the planet
The geographical location of Venice makes Ca’ Foscari a particularly ideal place for the development of the Environmental Humanities: both a historic crossroads of civilizations and a fragile city subject to the effects of global tourism and climate change, Venice invites and encourages critical reflections and the ideation of creative solutions.
