Overview
This Language Sciences programme at Ca' Foscari University of Venice offers you an advanced training in a foreign language, chosen among the following languages: Albanian, French, English, Italian Sign Language (LIS, including tactile LIS), Greek, Polish, European and Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian and Croatian, Spanish, German
You can also strengthen your expertise in specific areas of language studies, such as the teaching of foreign languages and Italian as a foreign language, the psychology of development and learning applied to language, computer science and information processing systems in language processing, linguistic analysis of speech and deafness disorders, the most advanced linguistic theories and the study of competence and processing in typical and atypical situations (eye tracking).
The programme gives the possibility of getting a joint/double degree in a partner university.

General requirements
In order to be eligible for admission, you need to have:
- a minimum three-year undergraduate degree
- a minimum CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 80%
At least 30 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System credits) or the equivalent in the following fields:
- At least 6 ECTS in: Romance Philology and Linguistics; Italian Linguistics; German Philology; Linguistics; Didactics in Modern Languages; and/or Slavic Studies
- At least 24 ECTS in: Philology and Literary Studies; Linguistics; Philosophy; Psychology; History; Sociology; and/or Medical Sciences (Neurology, Otorhinolaryngology, Audiology, Physical and rehabilitation medicine, Child neuropsychiatry)
- B2 English-knowledge level
- The Teaching Committee will evaluate your undergraduate transcript of records, examine your CV and reserves the right to schedule an oral examination to confirm your possession of an adequate personal preparation.

Ca’ Foscari University offers 20 high-achieving international students, intersted in a master degree programme, renewable scholarship packages of 10,000 euro a year
