Founded in 1871 in Warrensburg, Missouri with only a few dozen students, more than 140 years later, UCM has grown to serve more than 14,000 students. Our diverse student population represents nearly every state and 50 countries across the globe.

The Elliott Student Union Information Desk, is located on the main level of the Union in the atrium area. It’s staff provides information about the UCM campus, Union events, and the Warrensburg community. They assist patrons with resource checkouts such as Union keys and laptops, connect owners with lost items, and can assist with digital signage, display cases, banners, and locker rentals.
Living on campus is a great choice and an integral part of the "complete" college experience. With a broad spectrum of opportunities designed to complement your college experience, you will be part of a community where you can grow and experience life independently, yet have support to help you excel on campus. James C. Kirkpatrick Library (JCKL) studies a variety of different phenomenon capturing usage statistics, survey responses and observations. The navigation menu provides graphs demonstrating usage trends across these categories.
UCM's 13 residence halls are no more than a six-minute walk from classroom buildings and recreational facilities. Every room offers a fiber-optic Internet link, cable TV hookup, and local telephone service; parking comes with the room. Also available are suites, special-interest housing programs, and apartments.
An NCAA Division II school and member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Central Missouri fields 17 varsity teams. Known as the Mules and Jennies, our teams have one of the strongest winning traditions at the conference, regional, and national levels.
Student life is varied and vibrant. With more than 200 student organizations, 58 intramural and nine club sports, 22 Greek organizations, and even a bowling alley.
Central Missouri is a state leader in program-specific accreditations through national associations, and we are fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
