History
1964 – year Trent was founded .Heritage Peterborough was first organized May 11, 1984 in the Board Room of Peterborough and Kawartha Tourist and Convention Bureau. Their aim was to encourage wide interest, research and awareness of 150 years of historical growth of the city and county.

Quality education and incredibly memories
My experience at University of People has been both rewarding and transformative. One of the aspects I inspired most was the flexibility of the online learning model. As a student balancing academic responsibilities with personal and professional commitments, the ability to study from anywhere and manage my schedule effectively made higher education more accessible and achievable. I also acknowledge the diverse and international student community. Interacting with classmates from various countries and backgrounds enriched networking and broadened my perspective on global crisis and professional practices. The peer-learning approach encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and the exchange of insights, which enhanced the overall learning experience. The course materials were generally well-built and relevant, guiding me build both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Many instructors were supportive and provided constructive feedback that contributed to my academic growth. The university's mission of making quality education accessible to students worldwide is truly inspiring and reflects its commitment to educational opportunity. However, there are areas that could be improved. The peer assessment system, while beneficial for developing evaluation skills, can sometimes lead to inconsistent grading due to varying levels of understanding among students. More standardized assessment guidelines and oversight could guide to ensure greater fairness and accuracy. Additionally, response times for certain administrative or technical support requests could be improved to provide a smoother student experience and maintain steadfast. In conclusion, my study experience at University of the People has been extremely positive. It has allowed me to pursue my educational goals in a flexible and affordable way while it navigate that exposure to the global community of learners. The knowledge, skills, and confidence I have obtained throughout my studies have prepared me for future academic and professional opportunities. A Supportive for Aspiring Software Engineers
As an aspiring software engineering student, Trent University offers a uniquely supportive and interdisciplinary environment. While it's not a traditional tech powerhouse, its smaller class sizes allow for more personalized learning and closer interaction with professors. The university provides a solid foundation in computer science and encourages hands-on learning, research participation, and collaboration. However, those seeking a deeply tech-focused, industry-driven curriculum may find larger institutions better suited. Still, for students who value mentorship, a strong academic base, and a well-rounded university experience, Trent is a great place to start.

Summer Orientation for New Students is a day-long event offered by Student Accessibility Services (SAS) at Trent. First-year students with disabilities and their parents are invited to join our staff for an all-you-need-to-know info session about SAS, what to expect when they arrive in September, and supports on campus.

Located at Catharine Parr Traill College, Trent University Housing Services has beautiful, self-contained one and two bedroom apartments available for rent to Trent Graduate Students. Our apartments feature:

- Spaces are still available for our unique Homeschool Swim and Gym program. Contact us for more information.
- The Athletics Centre can accommodate Private and Semi-Private Swim Lessons at any point within a swim session. We offer a variety of lesson formats that suit an individual's swim background, schedule and iinterests.
- It is always a good idea to review the Athletics Centre Pool Rules before joining us for a swim. Do not hesiate to ask a lifeguard for clarification on any of the rules listed.
Student clubs
