History

National University is a San Diego-based nonprofit founded in 1971 by retired U.S. Navy Lt. Cmdr. David Chigos. As the largest private nonprofit university in San Diego, our mission is to provide accessible, achievable higher education to adult learners. A pioneer in the digital space, we’ve offered online classes for more than 20 years.

Education

National University offers flexible online education degrees that are adapted to your program and your schedule. You can rise early to participate in online discussions, log on during your lunch hour, or respond to questions well into the night. The choice is up to you.

  • Student Concierge Services is your one-stop center for all of your questions about National University. Student advocates are available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to midnight Pacific. Live phone support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
