Description

The scholarship is available to to students from Czech Republic, who are applying to a University in Austria. The funding organizations are OeAD-GmbH/MPC or Czech National Agency for International Education and Research (DZS) on behalf of and financed by the AKTION Austria - Czech Republic.

Supplementary grant, own funds are required!Monthly grant rates:

Monthly grant rate for researchers: EUR 1,300.

Monthly grant rate for students and graduates: EUR 1,300.

Assistance in arranging accommodation and health insuranceIt is possible for OeAD scholarship holders to book accommodation (dormitory or apartment) with the OeAD student housing.

The monthly costs are:monthly rent: roughly EUR 330 to EUR 800. (depending on the amenities)monthly administrative fee: currently EUR 24.

The costs for accommodation have to be paid out of the grant by the recipient of the grant.

The cost for health care during the temporary stays in any of the EU countries are covered by the respective national underwriters. In Austria the recipients of the grant should bring their European Health Insurance Card along.

Eligibility

  • Students who are actively studying (with at least 5 ECTS in the last semester) or are active researchers (PhD students).
  • There is no age limit for this grant. As the grant is aimed at junior researchers, the professional or academic career goals supported by the grant should be both realistic and feasible.
  • The scholarship is aimed at supporting junior researchers during work on their diploma or PhD thesis, research activities or training as a teacher of German as a foreign language (DaF).
  • Applications are open to all citizens of the European Union, of the European Economic Area and Switzerland enrolled inan MA or PhD study programme at one of the public universities in the Czech Republic or working at one of the public universities in the Czech Republic.
  • Eligible are students who passed at least 5 ECTS in last semester or are active researchers.

Please fill out the online application form and upload the following documents:

Statement of Academic Supervisor of pedagogues at the target institution in Austria that the scientific support during the host stay has been guaranteed.

2 Letters of Recommendation of two pedagogues of the university in the Czech Republic (in German or in English). Students of medicine, who do not write any diploma thesis need for the application a confirmation of the home institution, that the candidate is promising for the future scientific carrier.

Transcript of Records for the not yet completed study period.

Please attach the signed Registration Form in Czech to the application form; for students: only registration form confirmed by the international office or by the students´office of your home university in the Czech Republic is acceptable.
