Chalmers is perfect nothing to be improved. overall study experience was great.
My Journey as a Computer Science Student
My life as a student of Computer Science in Caleb University has been a journey of development and frustration as well as discovering myself. The initial impression I got as I entered into the interior was that I did not know what to expect. Slowly, I was able to observe that even the programme had been programmed to assist us to go beyond the understanding of how to code but rather to be able to think critically, creatively resolve issues, and quickly adapt to new technologies. The lecturers were very resourceful and easy to approach especially those that were in a position to combine theory and practical examples. Some were difficult classes especially when I had semesters that were prone to projects but I must say, it taught me the skill of becoming strong and being able to manage time. Another thing that I liked was the fact that Caleb University insisted on discipline and order. This might appear stiff but it is in such an environment that you become so straight in thoughts and actions. Technical and communication skills were also gained through the practical portion of the course programming laboratory, group projects and presentation programme. This was not necessarily simple as I was required to work on group projects alongside classmates but it also reflected the real world experience in terms of working as a group. I learned how to attain deadlines, how to figure out annoying code with bugs, how to be punctual, presentable. Of course not everything was perfect. The internet and the laboratories would end up being much better, especially during a course as practical as Computer Science. Problems with accessing the latest software or accessing safe power may occur sometimes and may delay the development. Nevertheless, even with all of that, we still adapted to those conditions and exchanged personal computers, common resources, pecked each other as a source. No external scholars and hence, tranquilly was high and space was sufficient to secure good friends. This balance between the academic and the social life had made possible the fact that the burden did not become too great. The Caleb University was also a place where I needed some time to reflect on the leadership, discipline and character things which have been developed outside the academic programme. Reflectively, I would agree that the experience at Caleb University was worth experiencing. I have received good technical background in software development, problem solving, system design, but also self development, self discipline and self confidence. This did not always come easy but everything changed into self-improvement. Overall, I am happy with the experience and feel honoured of how it prepared me as much as possible to embrace the technological world in the future.
