The offers for didactic teaching development and counseling provide important suggestions for teachers (professors, lecturers, guest lecturers) to professionally deal with their own teaching through expert impulses and in collegial exchange.

Research

Conducting high-level research with a focus on its applicability, researchers at the HWR Berlin work in five departments, two Central Institutes, seven internal research Institutes and six An-Institutes conducting research into topics pertaining to Economics and the Social Sciences, the Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Law. Prices for rented flats are moderate, though they vary from district to district and are obviously higher in sought-after neighbourhoods. Private sector landlords are also generally happy to take on a flatshare as tenants. If you'd prefer a place in a student residence, you should check out the Studentenwerk Berlin website (information in English and German). There you can find accommodation from single rooms to small apartments designed either for students on their own or with friends.

Student Reviews

Theoretical knowledge with application to practise
Anonymous rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great opportunity to get basic and fundamental knowledge about your area of studies. The compulsory internship gives you, beside the theoretical knowledge, practical experience as well. A semester abroad is a great opportunity to see other education systems as well as the proof to master every single task outside of your well-known surroundings.

Not the greatest, but you get your 'golden nuggets'
Anonymous rated 3 out of 5 stars

Some of the material taught throughout the classes was outdated. Few of the professors failed to convey the excitement of their own subject butchering even the most interesting topics. On the other side, the course includes a lot of practical assignments and group projects focused on the real-life business cases. Overall, it wasn't the best educational experience in my...

Holistic experience

Berlin School of Economics and Law is the perfect fit for students who are seeking both, theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical use cases. With state-of-the-art teaching approaches and an open, encouraging environment it made me grow.
