Solid Programme with International Focus
The Economics and Management programme at the University of Trento offers a strong theoretical foundation and a well-organized curriculum. I appreciate the international environment, the quality of teaching, and the focus on critical thinking and analytical skills. However, I believe the programme could benefit from more practical experiences, such as case studies, internships, and closer ties with the job market. Overall, I would recommend it to students who value academic depth and are looking for a stimulating university experience.
Possibilities offered
Is a great university that offers a lot of international possibilities, the teachers are overall good but with some cases and some courses that has to be revised. In general I think that practical experience should be included more. I had an erasmus in Spain and noticed how much the other international students were ahead of me in terms of job experience, this was due to their university more focused on learning skills that would be useful in the job world. So I think too much theory that is not useful apart from cultural knowledge (in my opinion). Lastly, the thesis is absolutely unnecessary and just a pain to be done in the way it is structured at the moment. I think it should be more related to something practical, maybe to internship instead of 40 pages of writing... This is my opinion.
UniTN
University of Trento is the perfect uni. Not too big, not to small, eco-friendly and meritocratic. Its heaven for its students, locals and internationals find it appetizing for bachelors and masters because of its high quality of services.

Student services
Given its small size, UniTrento offers close contact with admin staff and hence it allows a smart and swift solution to most bureaucratic issues. As a student, it is easy to identify the office and the person that can help solve any problem.
The Education and Student Services Management Office provides orientation services for prospective students, organizes language courses, certifies skills and awards international certificates to enrolled students. It also organizes and develops online teaching and learning tools.
In addition, this office supports academic departments and centres in defining course content, oversees admissions and the academic progress of students at all levels.
Housing services
Trento is widely recognized for the quality of its services. University accommodations are very well furnished and are very lively communities where Italian and international students live really unforgettable experiences. More than 1,300 places in dorms or shared apartments are made available to students. All dorms are within easy reach as Trento is a small city. Public transportation is very efficient, but another very good solution is biking or walking: a Bike-borrowing service is available to students.
The monthly price for an accommodation ranges from about 270 to 330 euros (very low compared with Italian big cities).
Students who prefer to go private can find suitable accommodation in the private market.
Library services
The University Library System consists of four libraries (the Central University Library and three “Science libraries” in the fields of Engineering, Science and Cognitive Sciences).
Around 487.000 books, along with 23.750 magazines and journals and 107 Databases compose the library’s wealth.
ICT services
Computers are available to all students in each Department. Further services:
- Wifi and cable internet access
- Technical assistance
- Reserved online services and support
- Access to all online resources
- Online classrooms
- Flipped classrooms in selected programmes
Medical services
The healthcare system in the region is very efficient. The University also provides dedicated services for psychological support.
The local public Agency for Healthcare provides a list of English-speaking physicians available to students.
Campus life
As Trento is a small town, everything is within easy and comfortable reach.
We have three main campuses, one in the city centre, one in the hills surrounding Trento and one in the nearby city of Rovereto. All of them are very well served by all possible facilities and a very efficient public transportation system.
Quality of services is one of the main reasons why Trento is consistently ranked at the top of the Italian city ranking for quality of life.Sports facilities
UniTrento Sport is the network of sport services and facilities dedicated to students and staff. It’s a unique initiative where sport is intended as a means towards personal development and wellbeing.
TopSport is the project that allows a “dual career” for students who excel in sports.
UniTeam is dedicated to top athletes that want to pursue university studies after finishing school.
“Sport diffuso” is the innovative project that aims at spreading sport activities to the wider university community.
Student clubs
Student participation in the 25 available associations and networks is strongly encouraged and partially financed. International associations like AIESEC, ELSA, ENACTUS, ESN, Junior Enterprise as well as specific associations for theatre, radio journalism and more are active in Trento.
Students participate on a voluntary basis.Accreditation
The University and all the degrees it offers are accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. In the 2019 national evaluation for accreditation carried out by the ANVUR (ministerial agency for evaluation) UniTrento reached the first position, the highest evaluation level ever reached by an Italian university.
- In September 2017 the European Master in Business Studies (EMBS) was awarded the EPAS accreditation within the framework of the EFMD Programme Accreditation System.
- Several degrees in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering are EUR-ACE accredited.
