Overview
The Engineering for Environmental Sustainability and International Cooperation (EESIC) programme from University of Trento creates a new profile of graduates combining a strong engineering background with interdisciplinary and global competencies (open mindset, problem-solving attitude, intercultural understanding, management of complex problems) and builds a hub in Europe and in the world, together with selected Associate Partners, for the topics of sustainability in environmental engineering in the context of international cooperation.

General requirements
- Hold a first cycle higher education degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering (or closely related scientific disciplines) of minimum 180 ECTS (or equivalent).
- Otherwise, candidates may hold a bachelor’s degree awarded in a class different from the above, of minimum 180 ECTS (or equivalent) and provided a minimum number of credits is reached in the areas indicated.
- English proficiency, at least B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- Detailed and complete Curriculum Vitae in English
- Motivation statement by answering a fixed set of questions in the online application form (e.g. about the reasons for the application to EESIC, the academic and personal motivation, the relevant background skills and abilities)
- The name and e-mail address of up to three referees

Additional Details
Fee reductions are attributed to best-ranked candidates that did not receive the scholarship and corresponds to 75% of the overall student fee (i.e., students with fee-waiver will have to pay only €2,000 per year).

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
- EESIC offers Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) scholarships to the most deserving students from all over the world.
- The scholarship amount is 1,400 Euros/month and it is a contribution to the costs incurred by the beneficiary students.
