Student Life on campus intends to bring together a community of students through the multitude of clubs and organizations available while providing a means to build leadership skills and include volunteering and community service as an addition to the education received at the institution.

Library services

The Nancy Thompson Library of Kean University is a comprehensive information and learning center that offers specialized collections and services designed to meet the academic information needs of the Kean University community. Located in the heart of the Kean campus, the Nancy Thompson Library houses the Library’s print, media, and online collections, with holdings of more than 275,000 volumes.

The beautiful, newly constructed, Freshman Residence Hall accommodates approximately 420 freshman students in fully furnished, four-person, suites.  Designed in the traditional-style, each suite is comprised of two double bedrooms connected by a large common area and private bathroom.  With brand-new furnishings, striking views, and amenities such as cable TV, telephone, Internet, and individually controlled air conditioning/heating systems, each suite is guaranteed to be a modern, convenient, and comfortable place for students to feel at home!  

Student clubs

The Center for Leadership and Service recognizes all student groups (Greek organizations, honor societies, student governments, student clubs and organizations) each semester.  There are more than 160 student groups at Kean University.
