Founded in 1957, California State University Fullerton (CSUF) is a major regional university in an area that includes Orange County, metropolitan Los Angeles and the Inland Empire. 


Cal State Fullerton offers 109 degree programs — 57 undergraduate and 52 graduate, including a doctorate in education and doctor in nursing practice. Many of these programs have achieved national prominence because of our outstanding faculty and alumni achievements. 


The Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) works with other units throughout the campus to seek external support for faculty research, creative activity, and institutional projects that support the educational and service mission of the university. Collaboration is sought across disciplines, departments, and community partners in preparing proposals to federal, state, and private agencies.

Student services

International Student Advising provides in-person services and advising to international students attending California State University, Fullerton. Our office can assist you with immigration, academic, social or any other issue during your time at the University.  

Housing services

Our International Housing office helps international students find a place to live during their time at California State University, Fullerton. Living on-campus is an easy way to meet other students, practice English and learn more about American culture. Our office can help you find an off-campus private apartment that is ideal for your needs and length of stay in Fullerton. 

Library services

The Pollak Library provides extensive services and assistance to the CSUF community, as well as to visiting students and scholars, and to the public. The library is nationally recognized for innovative spaces, collections, services, tools, and its programs.

ICT services

The following providers have taken the pledge:

  • Charter: offering  free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps

Medical services

In order to meet health insurance requirements for international students, Cal State Fullerton requires all students to purchase the Aetna Student Health Plan provided by JCB Insurance Solutions. You may not be able to register for classes without purchasing your health insurance.

Campus life

CSUF Housing and Residential Engagement offers great housing options to meet other students, learn more about American culture, and be immersed in the student life and spirit of Cal State Fullerton. 

  • Options include traditional style and apartment style accommodations
  • Furnished rooms include bed, desk, chair, lamp and closet
  • Utilities are included in the rent
  • Choice of 5 different meal plans
  • Contract: Academic Year, though limited spaces for one-semester contracts are available.

Sports facilities

The Cal State Fullerton Department of Athletics utilizes and maintains several facilities for competition and administration of 15 intercollegiate athletic programs.

I really liked the university itself. However, it is a commuter school so student life is a little dead. It was a bit difficult to make friends coming in as a transfer student.

The library had four floors each with its own noise level for your study preference, which I utilized frequently during my time on campus. However, in my last 2 years, many facilities, and parts of the campus, were closed off to students due to a new development project that was promised to be finished on time, but it was delayed several times.

Well,i completed my diploma in mechanical engineering which took 3years to complete. After i finished my course,i choose my own university for internship. I served as a volunteer in Infinity lab and Research for 2 years and also engaged in Isuzu company as a technician.there i worked for about 6month.
