- To gain a place at Birmingham you will need to meet the general entry requirements, as well as those specific to your course.
- 2:1 Honours degree
- or postgraduate diploma from a UK university (or overseas equivalent) in a subject with a quantitative element, such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Commerce. Applicants should have experience in a programming language, such as Python, R, MATLAB, Julia, C, C++, C#, Fortran or Java. We interpret “programming experience” broadly. Many successful applicants have learned programming through one module or one project.
