Description

The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce a limited number of scholarships for students from Vietnam applying for entry to a postgraduate programme at the University starting September.

These are joint awards with our local representatives who will be invited to send nominations of the students to the University based on their academic merit.

Benefits

The scholarship is for £10,000 awards towards tuition fees (for the first year only) of a full-time postgraduate masters programme starting September.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • You should have an excellent academic background. Candidates should have or be expecting a 2.1 in a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Have received an offer for a full-time postgraduate programme starting September. The student must be entering the first year of postgraduate programme based at Birmingham’s UK campus.
  • Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
  • Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
  • Start their studies at the University in September (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
  • Students seeking to study on a course solely delivered as a ‘distance learning’ programme are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • Postgraduate programmes including MBA, MPhil, MRes, PhD, PGDip and PGCert programmes are not eligible.
  • Be registered with and have their postgraduate study application attached to one of our local representatives listed below in alphabetical order.
  • Have paid their £3,000 deposit by the deadline stated in their offer letter from the Admissions Office and accepted the offer before the scholarship deadline 29th May.
  • Upon enrolment in September, pay their net tuition fees for the academic year by 1 November, immediately following enrolment.

This is a competitive scholarship, please ensure you have fulfilled the eligibility requirements outlined above.

To apply for the scholarship students will need to be registered with one of our local representatives listed here in alphabetical order; IDP Vietnam and ISC Education, have accepted an offer from the University of Birmingham and paid the deposit by the scholarship deadline 29th May.
