Description
The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce the Postgraduate Chancellor's award for select students from Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya applying for entry to a postgraduate taught programme at the University starting September.
Benefits
The scholarship is for £10,000 awards towards tuition fees (for the first year only) of a full-time postgraduate masters programme starting September.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible, candidates must:
- Have an excellent academic background. Candidates should have or be expecting a 2.1 and above in a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Have received an offer and selected the University of Birmingham as their firm choice for a full-time postgraduate taught programme starting September.
- Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
- Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
- Have paid their £3,000 deposit by the deadline stated in their offer letter from the Admissions Office.
- Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
- Start their studies at the University in September (the scholarship award may not be deferred). If a scholarship recipient decides to defer their programme start date to September
- Be registered with, and have their postgraduate study application attached to, one of our local representatives listed below in alphabetical order.
- Submit your scholarship application through one of our local representatives by the deadline; 30th June.
- Upon enrolment in September, pay their net tuition fees for the academic year by 1 November, immediately following enrolment.
