Description

The University of Birmingham is pleased to announce a number of scholarships for international-fee-paying students from select European countries intending to study a postgraduate taught Masters degree commencing in September.

A number of these scholarships will be ring-fenced for international-fee-paying current students and alumni from our partners based in Europe: KU Leuven, Leiden University, Lund University, University College Dublin, University of Amsterdam, University of Helsinki, University of Paris-Saclay and University of Zurich. 

Benefits

A number of scholarships worth up to £10,000 towards tuition fees for students commencing a full-time postgraduate taught Masters programme in September.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to applicants who meet one of the following categories:

  • Students who are domiciled in (permanently living in) one of the following countries: France, Germany, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain or Sweden;
  • OR current students or alumni from one of our partner institutes in Europe: KU Leuven, Leiden University, Lund University, University College Dublin, University of Amsterdam, University of Helsinki, University of Paris-Saclay and University of Zurich.
  • As well as being from one of these groups, to be eligible for the scholarship, students must:

    • Be classed by the university as an international fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
    • Have received an offer for a full-time postgraduate programme starting September at the University of Birmingham's UK campus.
    • Accept an unconditional offer from the University of Birmingham by the deadline of 30 June. This includes paying the £3,000 deposit by the deadline.
    • Be studying an eligible 180-credit postgraduate taught degree in the academic year as listed below.
    • Meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
    • Be domiciled in one of the eligible countries, or be a current student or alum from one of our partners.
    • Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
