I believe I am going to have a good experience once I start my studies
A Review of My Academic Journey
I am studying a psychology degree that focuses on the relationship between human behaviour and emerging technologies, equipping students with the skills needed to thrive in a digitally driven society. The course explores how disruptive technologies are reshaping the way we think, behave, and interact, while grounding this understanding in core psychological disciplines such as cognitive, social, biological, developmental, and lifespan psychology, as well as individual differences. Alongside theoretical learning, the programme places strong emphasis on practical and technical skills. I have developed experience in data analysis, programming using R and Python, and data visualisation and storytelling, allowing me to interpret complex behavioural data and communicate insights effectively. This combination of psychology and technology has strengthened my problem-solving abilities and my understanding of how digital systems can be designed to support human wellbeing and trust. A key highlight of the course is the third-year INTRA work placement, which provides real-world experience in applied settings such as digital health, education, wellbeing, and technology-focused psychology roles. This placement allows students to apply academic knowledge in professional environments and develop transferable skills relevant to industry, research, and community sectors. Overall, the course has prepared me for a wide range of future pathways, including postgraduate study, professional psychology training, and careers in areas such as behavioural science, data analysis, digital health, and human–technology interaction. The programme is offered by Dublin City University and is accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland, ensuring a strong academic foundation and professional recognition.
A future review of my university
I love the environment and I heard the learning experience is nice
