The University of Oregon is one of just two schools in the Pacific Northwest selected for membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities, a consortium of 62 leading public and private research institutions in the United States and Canada.
Research
Research is one of the things that makes us who we are. We value the curiosity that drives Ducks to seek solutions to big problems, little problems, and problems that everyone thinks are already solved. With many projects to choose from, our students get access to internships and research opportunities. In fact, 80.5 percent of our undergraduate students participate in some form of research.

Engaged professors, boring town
Overall, this school is great. The professors are invested in their students success and they are always available to help. It is not difficult to make professional connections with the staff. Additionally, the athletic facilities are state of the art. The town is a little boring though.
Passionate teaching
I have a great appreciation for all of my professors as they are always ready to assist if you reach out to them. They create a welcoming environment and are incredibly helpful, contributing to a fulfilling student experience. I couldn't have chosen a better university to attend. Overall, the professors are passionate and extremely knowledgeable in their respective subjects. They provide well-structured and enriching curricula along with captivating lectures. The support I receive from professors and advisors has been invaluable, aiding me greatly in my academic journey and preparing me for my future career. The courses I have taken have been enlightening, giving me an understanding of what it takes to succeed in my desired profession. Additionally, the student life at this university has had a significant impact on my personal development.
From School to University
I started at University this year. I was very excited to the new experience of my life, but when I face what really it the university life, I'm not happy about it. So many people told to make studies in this university will be hard but it's harder than people says. The another day I have to take my class in a classroom where made 41� at least, very warm, without ventilation, without electricity, I could even listened to the teacher because there were A LOT of people, more people than chairs, and the true is nobody care about the conditions of the classes. Obviously you can't be focus 100%. I neither can bring my phone with me at university because it's not secure, you can be a victim of thieves if you aren't alert. Nowadays it's hard to me to adapt to this environment, I hope things get better.

The Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO) sponsors more than 300 student groups that you can join.
