From being the nation’s first institution to offer a bachelor of the fine arts degree to founding one of the nation's first iSchool's, at Syracuse University, we’ve always had a legacy of firsts. We opened doors for women in 1870, welcoming leaders like Karen DeCrow, an icon in the women’s rights movement, and Eileen Collins, the first female commander of a Space Shuttle.

Excelente University!
raduating with a degree in Software Engineering from Syracuse University was a solid and rewarding experience overall. The program offers a well-rounded curriculum that balances theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on learning. Courses cover core areas like data structures, software design, and systems development, while also giving students exposure to modern tools and technologies used in the industry. One of the strengths of the program is its emphasis on real-world application. Group projects and assignments often simulate professional environments, helping students build collaboration and problem-solving skills that are directly relevant after graduation. The faculty are generally knowledgeable and supportive, and many bring industry experience into the classroom, which adds useful context to the material. Syracuse also provides good access to resources such as labs, career services, and networking opportunities. Internships and career fairs play an important role, and students who take advantage of them can graduate with valuable experience and connections. Social Syracuse scene
Syracuse University is a very social school and has very good resources. They hold many career fairs and provide you with opportunities to speak to successful alumni as well as various internships. They help you work on your networking skills and provide you with helpful connections to your specific career. Not to mention their study abroad program is one of the best.
Opportunities And Social Hub
There are so many great opportunities to pursue at Cuse and the social scene is great. The campus is really pretty and there are so many awesome clubs to join. The alumni network is also strong and helpful. The Writing Center has also been a great resource for me and I enjoy going there just to get work done.
