The history of Debrecen’s higher education dates back to the 16th century with the Reformed College of Debrecen being established in 1538.

The library possesses a large collection consisting of more than six million documents available for readers in seven library units offering spacious reading rooms on five campuses of the university. Despite the variety of locations, services of the library can be used under the same conditions by all readers.

Students can choose from a wide range of extra-curricular activities at UD. The Faculties have a variety of student clubs. The Medical Athletic Club has well equipped facilities including tennis and basketball courts, a weight room and an easily accessible swimming pool is nearby.
The University conducts its programs according to the European Qualifications Framework of the Bologna Process. Thus diplomas attained at the University of Debrecen are generally accepted in the countries of the European Union. Moreover, all our programs are accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Board which is part of the European Accreditation Board.
It wasn't as I expected. Program material were not in depth with the field of study
The University was great in terms of achieving teamwork and enhancing theoretical knowledge. However due to covid most of the practical aspects of the course were not fully realised.
It is such an amazing learning experience
