Saint Mary's, as a Lasallian Catholic institution, traces its origins to a priest and educational innovator of 17th century France, Saint John Baptist de La Salle. Born in 1651, De La Salle began a new system of Christian schools in which the teachers assist parents in the educational, ethical, and religious formation of their children.
Located on 100 acres along the Cascade Creek in northwest Rochester, Cascade Meadow Wetlands and Environmental Science Center features formal and informal learning and event spaces indoors and outdoors. Our mission is to establish the center as a regional resource for environmental education with an initial focus on energy, water, and wetlands.

The Wellness Center staff assists students in changing or removing barriers to learning, and empowers them to discern and pursue their own personal mission.Student Health and Counseling staff embody the Lasallian charism and work as a team to fulfill this mission.
The Office of Campus Safety makes every effort to ensure and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for everyone associated with all Saint Mary’s campuses. Campus Safety personnel are available 24 hours a day to assist in emergencies, provide campus escorts, and enforce regulations. They also patrol all administrative and residence halls to maintain security at all times.
Getting involved in one of the more than 100 activities offered on campus is a great way to find friends, have fun, make a difference, and be a leader.From student government and intramural sports to Habitat for Humanity and talent shows, Saint Mary’s students know how to dive into meaningful activities and have fun.
