1938 - The first year the campus is open for enrollment (then called the Cal Poly Voorhis Unit), the first governing body, Student Activities Committee (SAC), is formed and headed by Avon Carlson.

DRC authorizes and facilitates the use of accommodations and services for students with disabilities. Each student receives an individualized set of accommodations based on their specific disability-related limitations. Health Services is an ambulatory care facility (you have to be able to walk in on your own) offering visits with medical providers by appointment or through Urgent Care for non-life threatening sudden accidents or injuries.
The Residence Halls are conveniently located on-campus and are within easy walking distance to the academic buildings, library, computer labs, dining areas, the Bronco Student Center and parking lots. All halls have a laundry room, study areas, recreation room/TV lounge, and community kitchenettes. Satellite television service and high-speed Internet connections are provided in each room. Each Residence Hall has their own particular theme living community for residents to enjoy. All Residence Halls are co-ed and non-smoking.
As part of your fee-covered basic services, professional Health Educators are available to provide one-on-one education on a variety of health topics at no cost. Most appointments are scheduled for 45 minutes to an hour.
