Overview

Systems Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona University is an interdisciplinary field of study that teaches how to design, develop, lead, implement and evaluate complex systems. It includes courses in engineering management, the science and business of system thinking, management of innovation, leadership management, business risk analysis and assessment and analytical tools and techniques to lead, redesign, anticipate, and manage organizational change in an interdisciplinary environment.

Graduation Writing Test (GWT) Information:

All persons who receive undergraduate, graduate, or external degrees from Cal Poly Pomona must pass the Graduation Writing Test (GWT). If you are unable to pass the test after two attempts, you may apply to enroll in CPU4010, a class in which your writing is assessed on a portfolio basis. Students enrolling in CPU4010 will be charged the state graduate level tuition fees for this course. Please visit the links below for more detailed information.

For unconditional admission, students must hold a B.S. in engineering or engineering-technology from an ABET accredited program.
The applicant must have attained a grade point average of at least 3.0 in all undergraduate upper division mathematics, science, and engineering courses and, likewise in all courses attempted with graduate standing.
