We arrange a Welcome Programme each semester for all new international students. As a student at the University of Bergen automatically become a member of the Student Welfare Organisation (Sammen). You become a member when you pay the small semester fee (currently NOK 590), which is also required in order to register each semester.
All UiB international students have the benefit of guaranteed housing with the Student Welfare Organisation in Bergen (Sammen).
The University Library is a public research library at the University of Bergen which is organized directly under the university board and the university director. Amazing site for searching courses for brginners
Bergen is a nice city with a good student life. It also has a strong economics community with some of Norways top professors. However, I found that the teaching was one-dimensional and there was a lack of emphasis on critical thinking and discussion in the economics courses.
Everything worked very well. The nature was amazing.
