I study cybersecurity in AFIT and it's awesome. I have a lot of supportive lecturers and very very encouraging background from my first 2 years. It's been a long long ride but it's rewarding and when you show the lectures that you're actually willing to learn and you have something specific you want to achieve regarding your career, they tend to help better than they would if you didn't. They have a top-notch regard for punctuality, patience, and exam malpractice. It is an almost no-nonsense environment. 10/10 for me.
I'm currently running my masters program here in FUTMINNA. So far, it has been a wonderful experience. The lecturers are sound, the teaching experience is thorough. The stress is there though, and the exams are tough.
As a student of Federal University of Technology, Minna, Ive had a generally positive experience. The academic programme is solid and the lecturers are knowledgeable, though sometimes classes can be intense due to the workload. One thing I appreciate is the practical approach in many courses, especially in engineering and tech-related programmes. However, the facilities (like Wi-Fi, lecture halls, and hostel conditions) could be improved to better support student life. Also, some administrative processes can be slow and frustrating. Campus life is lively and there are good opportunities for networking and growth, especially through student associations and tech communities. I would recommend FUTMinna to students who are serious about academics and want a solid foundation in their field.
