The Logistics Management - Humanitarian and Disaster Relief program of the Florida Institute of Technology focuses on conflict management, complex emergencies, risk mitigation and emergency procurement, and contract management. The objective of this master’s in logistics management is to meet the growing demand for logistics skills among private, public, and military sectors faced with humanitarian and disaster relief logistical efforts. For members of the Defense Acquisition Workforce or the Civilian Agencies Acquisition Workforce, the master’s in logistics with a concentration in humanitarian and disaster relief integrates both into the specific requirements of logistics-related acquisition specialties as well as into the more general objective of attaining a master’s degree in an appropriate discipline.

General requirements
- The applicant to the program must have a bachelor’s degree; however, the degree need not be in business administration.
- Students who are graduates from other fields are encouraged to apply. Students with an undergraduate business degree or courses may be able to waive the program prerequisite in the program based on an evaluation of their undergraduate academic transcripts. Prerequisite courses are required of a student whose undergraduate major is outside the business area or who has not previously completed the courses in these prerequisite areas. The exact number of needed prerequisite courses depends on courses completed during the student’s undergraduate studies.
