Overview
The Nanomaterials Co-op program from Drexel University enhances your academic qualifications and skills to advance your career in this emerging materials science and engineering specialization. A graduate program in nanomaterials investigates materials with structure at the nanoscale, looking at the unique optical, electronic, or mechanical properties, which make them exceptionally well-suited to tackle global issues in areas, such as health and energy. The MS in nanomaterials program offers courses centered around two major themes: energy storage and nanobiomaterials. Students have an option to also work on research projects that provides in-depth expertise with a variety of nanomaterials and their applications.
You will gain an understanding of advances in industry, a global viewpoint, and the entrepreneurial and teambuilding skills needed to advance your career in industry or research and the knowledge required for entry into a PhD program in nanomaterials or a related field.
Graduate Co-Op Program
Graduate co-op is an optional three or six-month work experience woven into academic studies for full-time master’s students. Drexel University co-op provides the opportunity to apply theory learned in class to a work experience before graduating. The insights help to direct the vision you have for your career and provide context for the remainder of your learning. You will take advantage of resources from the Steinbright Career Development Center, including programming that enhances your professionalism and resume writing and provides resources for your job search.
Starting fall 2024, students that select this option will now have access to the Steinbright Career Development Center job matching platform and will move their co-op cycle from summer to fall. For students interested in the Graduate Co-op program the best time to start is in the fall so students have access to all the resources available to them.
