Through the Collins Rupp, P.C. Moving Forward Scholarship, their Utah law firm hopes to continue to instill hope and encouragement in individuals who are making an admirable effort to overcome criminal convictions that may hinder their success.

This scholarship opportunity reflects the importance of each individual being treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.

Collins Rupp, P.C. is offering $1,000 each semester to an undergraduate student with a criminal history who proves they are making the effort to change their life for the better.

Eligibility

Students interested in applying for the scholarship must:

  • Have a criminal history (Felony and Misdemeanor offenses, not Infractions or minor traffic violations)
  • Be an undergraduate student attending an accredited college or university within the United States
  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Hold U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

Students ready to apply for the Moving Forward Scholarship should submit the following information on the scholarship form:

Proof of enrollment (unofficial academic transcript, acceptance letter, letter of admittance).

Proof of criminal history.

Contact information (only students who submit all contact information will be considered eligible).

Essay of 500-800 words answering the following prompt:

What have you learned about the importance of moving forward? How will your personal experience help you to assist others in improving themselves and bettering their lives? In your essay, please include which convictions you are moving forward from.
