Overview

Chemical engineering in general is an extremely flexible and wide-ranging field, with direct impact on many sectors that are critical to the lives we lead, with the generation and delivery of energy being one of the most important of these sectors. The offering Global Energy Technologies and Systems  interdisciplinary programme at University of Birmingham fulfils a critical need to educate the next generation of energy professionals in concert with the internationally recognised research being undertaken through the Thermal Energy Research Accelerator (T-ERA) programme and the Birmingham Energy Institute (BEI).

General requirements

  • You should have, or expect to obtain, a 2:1 Honours degree from a UK academic institution (or an equivalent overseas qualification) in engineering or physical sciences.
  • Consideration may also be given to excellent applicants with degrees in life sciences and economics where these included an adequate component of mathematics.
