You'll have many clinical opportunities to work with people of all ages with diverse communication needs under the supervision of our skilled clinical instructors.

The Speech - Language Pathology program from Central Michigan University prepares you to assist, diagnose, and clinically treat people with communication disorders. This extensive clinical experience makes our speech-language pathology graduates sought-after clinicians.

Work alongside faculty mentors and experienced staff in state-of-the-art facilities. Conduct research projects that focuses on understanding or improving all forms of communication and work with patients ranging from infants to the elderly. Gain hands-on experience in our Speech-Language and Hearing Clinics that serve people in central and northern Michigan.

Careers & Outcomes

With this degree, you can choose professions such as speech-language pathologists or audiologists. You'll work primarily in educational settings, medical and health facilities, and private practice.
